A Festive and Busy Season!

December is full of private projects and preparation for our visit to Scotland and Manipulate Festival in January. We will be taking a break from our regular series of shows and will be a little off of the radar on social media. Keep an eye out though because we are known to do some pop up shows (especially for our founders birthday this month!). We want to thank you for this amazing year. Not only did we study overseas, but we attended a National Festival too! We were also elected to the Board of Directors for Puppeteers of America and we are continuing our service to the Seattle area guild as President. Thank you for your support and best wishes for a great new year!

October 2017 Events!

You are invited!

Our show entitled: Scorci Dell’anno, will provide glimpses of our work from the year so far. Many of our fans and friends have been unable to see us before we departed for Italy and we have not had the opportunity to host an event since.

The evening will consist of several short puppet shadow pieces as well as two crankie stories (moving shadow boxes):

*The Stars Tonight

There will also be a screening of both a work-in-progress collaboration piece shot in Piacenza, Italy for Teatro Gioco Vita and also a short stop-motion animation test piece created in Prague, Czech Republic.

This is a great opportunity to come and explore our work and find out about some upcoming shows.

What an exciting March!

wdpHello puppet fans! I have so much to talk about. March has been a busy month and we are starting to see the product of our efforts. The web reboot and design are almost done and we are very happy with the result.  I want to thank my friend and technical advisor Kiyan Fox for all the hard work he put into Trivia Puppet Company!

I would like to list some announcements we shared at the start of the month. We are very excited to announce that we were nominated and then voted into the Presidency for the Puppeteers of Puget Sound.  This is our local puppet guild here in the greater Seattle area.  In tune with that, we also have volunteered to join the Puppeteers of America communications committee as well as act as the National Coordinator for World Day of Puppetry.

Event wise, we were approved for a bursary and will be able to attend the 2016 PNW Regional Festival on behalf of the guild. This year it will be Puppet Power: Connecting Generations located in Calgary, Alberta.  Check out our calendar section for more information on this event. https://tockify.com/triviapuppet/detail/3/1464418800000

We also are excited to announce that we will be premiering a new shadow puppet piece in the Fussy Cloud Puppet Slam come mid-April. Then we will feature three glove puppets in an art show in tribute to David Bowie “Queen Bitch”.

I have my hand in a couple of other pots, so make sure you sign up to the newsletter and stay tuned.
